Where we step into the wild to remember who we are.
Not all leadership is learned in boardrooms.
Some lessons can only be learned when comfort disappears.
For more than two decades, I've sought out places that demanded presence, courage, and adaptability—from running 250 kilometres across the Sahara to freediving beneath ice, cycling across Africa, and exploring some of the world's most remote environments. These weren't adventures for the sake of adventure. They became living laboratories for leadership.
Out there, there are no titles or job descriptions. Only the choices you make, the stories you tell yourself, and the people beside you. Every challenge becomes an opportunity to lead with clarity, resilience, curiosity, and trust.
I’ve travelled through more than 80 countries, living much of my life overseas and working alongside Indigenous communities across the Asia-Pacific and African continents. Those partnerships taught me humility, regeneration, and what it means to lead with place, people, and planet in mind.
Those experiences shaped the BOLDER mindset and continue to influence every keynote, workshop, coaching conversation, and leadership programme I facilitate.
Explore a few of the journeys that forged this approach.

A Few of My Boldest Expeditions
- Running 250 km across the Sahara, carrying everything I needed on my back.
- Freediving under ice without a wetsuit.
- Cycling 12,000 km across the African continent, with a broken collarbone.
- Traversing the Himalayas by mountain bike, pushing through altitude sickness at 5,400+ meters.
- Winning a marathon in Antarctica, in temperatures that freeze your eyelashes.
- Freediving to 50 meters, and sharing water with the largest animal on Earth—the blue whale which inspired me to become the first female freediving instructor in Timor-Leste, helping build a thriving local community of ocean athletes.
From My Expeditions to Yours
For years, people have asked whether they could join me on journeys like these.
Soon, the answer will be yes.
I'm currently designing BOLDER Expeditions, small-group leadership adventures that combine challenge, coaching, nature and reflection.
These won't be endurance races or survival experiences. They'll be carefully designed journeys where leadership is lived rather than discussed. A chance to step away from the noise, reconnect with yourself, and return with fresh perspective, stronger relationships and practical tools for leading with courage and clarity.
If you'd like to be among the first to hear when applications open, I'd love to keep you informed.
